Abby's Army
Gaskill Realty’s David Johnson and his wife Lisa are proud to be the founders the Abby’s Army Foundation. Every year, almost 16,000 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting the children and families affected by the fight against pediatric cancer. The goal is to allow every child diagnosed with cancer to continue being a child and enjoying their childhood moments.
David and Lisa founded Abby’s Army after their daughter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Abby eventually underwent surgery to remove the tumor and has been though periodic treatments for pediatric brain cancer. Since the diagnosis, the family has experienced firsthand the effects of treatments, appointments, time away from each other and concern for Abby and the rest of their family. David and Lisa wanted to use what they’ve learned from this life changing experience to help other children and their families cope with—and survive—a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
