Vacation Home Demand Sinks in Post-Pandemic Market

Demand for vacation homes plummeted by 52% from pre-pandemic levels in March, according to new data from Redfin (NASDAQ:RDFN). In comparison, the demand for primary homes were down by only 13%.

Freddie Mac Reports Mortgage Rate Drop

Mortgage Delinquencies Continue to Fall Nearing Two Years of the Downward Trend

CoreLogic, a global property information, analytics and data-enabled solutions provider, today released its monthly Loan Performance Insights Report for January 2023.
For the month of January, 2.8% of all mortgages in the U.S. were in some stage of delinquency (30 days or more past due, including those in foreclosure), representing a 0.5 percentage point decrease compared with 3.3% in January 2022 and a 0.2 percentage point decrease compared with December 2022.

The majority of homeowners say they would like to lighten up their home’s exterior with a neutral color palette, according to a new survey of more than 1,400 respondents conducted by The Harris Poll and commissioned by Alside, an exterior building product firm.
